RAVENSCROFT has enrolled all five of its offices across Guernsey, Jersey, the Isle of Man and the UK to ESI Monitor’s Environmental Business Operations Framework (EBOF).
The investment services company are now Environmental and Social Impact Monitors (ESI Monitors), which are organisations empowered to continually improve their environmental and/or social sustainability through measurement, minimisation, management, and benchmarking. By becoming ESI Monitors, Ravenscroft now has the ability to reduce its carbon footprint and create a consciousness of sustainability throughout the organisation, enabling the business to have an even greater impact on its local communities.
‘It’s great to have an organisation like Ravenscroft, who are already committed to responsible investing, start to examine their own operations and improve their internal sustainability,’ said ESI Monitor’s Fred Betley.
Ravenscroft received ESI Monitors Community Champion status for its community support in Guernsey and Jersey last year with its overall rating per employee exceeding other companies in the Channel Islands.
‘It is expected that all companies will at some point be required to measure the impact they have on their local community and on the world. Not only will this be a regulatory requirement, but it is also something that our employees and our clients care about. With more than 130 staff, five offices in four jurisdictions and a thematic approach to investing where we examine in detail the trends affecting the world, Ravenscroft wants to take action now,’ said Mark Bousfield, group managing director of Ravenscroft.
‘The ESI Monitor framework is comprehensive and enables us to measure where we are today, set goals for the future and then be transparent about how we are progressing.’
The Environmental Business Operations Framework is ESI Monitor's legacy product and predecessor to FutureTracker.
